攻佔「他們的媒體」、創辦「我們的媒體」

社會運動和社會福利工作，若能得到大眾傳播媒體的幫助，就能把議題迅速公開化、讓更多訊息廣泛傳播，從而增加參與人數、加快運動速度。

社運和社福新聞，很少得到大眾媒體重視。因為它們常常挑戰既得利益，議題嚴肅複雜缺乏賣點，而且採訪難度高成本大。

社運和社福工作者要宣揚理念，需要運用策略攻佔大眾媒體版面，也需要獨立自主發展另類媒體，進而藉由另類媒體的結盟，與大眾媒體競爭、合作。
